The Cochliodas are a group of orchids that grow in heights which go from 1500m to 3000m. They can be found in humid Forest of countries like Perú, Ecuador and Bolivia. These are cold to warm orchids and can be epiphytes and lithophytes.
It is a cross between Symphyglossum Sanguinea and Cochlioda Noezliana. In Finca Dracula, it was created by the hummingbirds.

The Cochliodas can be epiphytes or lithophyte. They can be found in cloud forests between 2000 and 3000 meters heigth. These orchids don't have a rest period.
The Cochliodas can be hybridized with close genuses giving the result to intergeneric species like Beallara, Burreageara and Vuylstekeara.

This hybrid between the Symphyglossum Sanguinea with the Cochlioda Noezliana, both native from the Andes of Perú, Ecuador and Boliva, has florescence two times per year with a flashy red color.

K, NLas plantas pierden sus hojas anualmente, en ese momento se ponen amarillas y caen. Eso es normal y no debe asustarse. Durante ese periodo puede reducir el riego al mínimo.
